Following FIFA's policy to set up football training centers,
Nepal is constructing three such centers, and Dharan is privileged
to have one of them at Saptarangi Park in Ward No. 17 of the
city. The Municipality has provided two hector of land for the
purpose, and has borne 20% of the cost (the estimated cost amounts
to Rs. 12.5 million). The Center will have 25 rooms in addition
to a football court of international standard with parapet that
can hold some two thousand spectators.
The Municipality hopes that the Center will function as a technical
training center and with the progress of football it will illuminate
Dharan.
