A part of the help program of Federal Republic of Germany, udle
is a wing of a German technical support organization. This organization
has been providing technical support to Dharan Municipality
in many areas since 1992. Particularly, it's providing technical
and financial support to the Municipality for strengthening
in such areas as organizational development, financial development,
development in urban planning, urban sanitation and environmental
education. It's supporting and assisting Regional Study Center
for different training programs and organizing different trainings
for the development of human resources.
Similarly, it's providing financial support for the development
of physical infrastructure of the Regional Study Center Dharan.
All five Development Regions will have such centers to provide
trainings for the manpower of the municipalities in the region.

Strengthening OF Environmental
Administration and Management at the Local Level (SEAM-N)

This Nepal-Finland cooperation project is started in 2001 November
and the central office is in Dharan-13. The project covers the
three municipalities and 7 VDCs in Dharan-Biratnagar Industrial
corridor. The main objectives of the project are to protect
and improve the environmental condition of the project area,
to improve the quality of the environment and to provide a healthy
and diverse environmental atmosphere to the locals. The guiding
principal is decentralization of Nepal.

The office of this organization is in New Delhi, India for South
Asian countries. This organization is helping Dharan in many
ways. For many programs it's been supporting Dharan financially
since 2000. It's supported in 'Dharan Environmental Mapping
Project' and in possibility study of Dharan's solid waste management.

The special wing of UNO, UNICEF is running many different projects
on children development, mother care, and health and hygiene.
Community based Children Development Centers, Urban Children
Education, Parent Education Program, Children Journalism, DACAW
program, many public awareness programs and skill-oriented projects
are some of them.
